Money: Lesson 2 For Beginners

The first copper you save is the seed from which your tree of wealth shall Grow.  This quote is from one the works of the great writer George S. Clayson. Which means that your journey of becoming wealthy starts from the first Rupee you save. In the last post we learnt about the common saving platforms provided by the banking system. And I suggested top 3 banks as these were marked as "Domestic Systematically Important Banks(D-SIB's)" in other words the banks considered to be "Too Big To Fail". So the best way to start a journey is with the ship which is strong enough to face and sustain strong winds and tides, rather than the ones which look beautiful from the outside and weak from the inside. Last two years have broken the misconception: "Banks cannot fail". Whether it was "Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank (PMC)" or "Yes Bank"

 Hurray/Yippee/Cheers I got my first job, I think probably everyone of you have rejoiced by speaking exactly same words when you got your first job or you started some new venture. But what after this, have you given a thought to that? Getting a job is good, its probably the best thing which might have happened to you. But have you thought about how will you take care of your expenses and savings? Hopefully not, because 80% of the newly employed members focus on the digits of their package/CTC and how will they spend that money over the instant gratification of their wants. I would recommend that you should give a thought about some savings from your salary for your future. Covid Era has taught us that small savings can do wonders in the times of such pandemics. And in multiple households the savings of Home Makers have helped their families to meet their daily expenses when the primary bread earners either lost their jobs or were unable to operate their business during lockdown.
